Woke up at 8am
Another great sleep last night. I think the bags under my eyes are finally starting to fade. A lot of that has to do with it being a bit warmer throughout the nights, and the temperature staying relatively stable. Not much work will be done in the next few days. It is supposed to rain and thunderstorm for the next several days. This really bums me out as I was hoping to get started on the roof by now. But, it is what it is, and I will make the most of it.
This will finally give me a chance to get the final budget under wraps. It seems that the money that we had to pay out for the land clearing
and the extra rock for the driveway severely hindered our process. I will only have enough money in the budget to get the outside finished. The wife and I discussed doing the interior at a later date. Most likely once we actually move here to the island. This way she can be here and have a say in the design process.
I will, however, hook up the water catchment, Solar and plumbing. This way I can utilize these items before I leave, and to make sure they are working properly. The main reason for the solar will be to have the lights running while we are away to make it seem as if someone is home. I will put them on a timer from 7-10pm every night. Hopefully between the lights being on, and the neighbors being so close, it will deter any potential prowlers.
