YouTube link: Day 22 Rain Rain Go Away

Nov. 27, 2017
Woke up at 7am
Today I received the deliveries for the floor material, piers and bases via Home Depot. This proved to be somewhat difficult due to the torrential rain. Also, the guy came to drop off my water catchment tank.  Luckily the driver was able to come up on the property and drop the tank because he was driving a 4X4. The home depot delivery seemed to be a bit more challenging.
Obviously, the materials are a lot heavier than the catchment tank, but that did not stop this driver. This guy really knew how to drive that forklift. Keeping in mind it was no ordinary lift. More like a forklift on steroids.

Once this was finished I then had to find a ride to go and get the rental replacement car. Eventually, after waiting for several callbacks I resorted to asking Hank for a ride.
Which I knew would come at a cost. Everything always does with this guy. He made sure and took me to go look at chainsaws before going to get the car. This way he can prove that the brand he likes is better should be the one I am using.

Once I got the car I went and got a canopy to build a little patio for myself. This proved to not be a good idea as the rain has now saturated through the tent walls and the canopy is now needed over the top of the tent to prevent any more seepage. By now it has rained for four days straight and the tent is now starting to smell like mold. Once I get the van I can move some of these items into the van and start cleaning up this space and killing the mold.

But none of those compare to my biggest problem of all, my bathroom. It is now flooded.  I am sure as some of you may be wondering just exactly what I have been doing about this scenario. Well, I bought a camping toilet from Target and set up a clean chemical sprayer up over a pallet as my shower. I surrounded the area as much as I could with a tarp, but of course, there was a gap as there were no trees to hang anything from on one side of the spot. So if someone decided to enter my site from the empty lot next door, well, then they would be in for quite….the….surprise. This seemed to be my only option as the nearest public restroom was 20 minutes away, and all of my neighbors have gated up yards with lots of dogs, so getting their attention is not really an option. It may not be the best scenario, but it will do in a pinch (no pun intended). Now I have to find another alternative soon.
